As we sit in the last week of January, how many of us made New Year's Resolutions that we swore we would stick to, only to find us not abiding by our promises just a few weeks later? I know I did - I made a commitment to myself that I would blog more, but there are not many blog articles here since January 1. So what's a person to do?
Simply put, forgive yourself, but don't forget. Its OK to fall off the resolution bandwagon as long as you get back on! Many of us beat ourselves up thinking we're a failure because we promised to eat more healthy, and then had that big bowl of ice cream (guilty!). But the old adage still holds water - If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Keep plugging away at it and you will eventually come to a conclusion, one way or another. Either this IS something you are really committed to and you keep trying, or you realize that it was a fancy that didn't hold your interest in the long term and you can fill that space with something else. But its only late January - don't give up the ghost just yet. Forgive yourself and keep trying!
